

Major Case Bureau Detectives from the Burglary Pattern Squad report the arrest of two people that occurred on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 8:45 PM in Queens for multiple Grand Larcenies that occurred in Nassau County.
According to Detectives, an investigation was conducted for three subjects who were responsible for multiple motor vehicle thefts that occurred at the following dates:
On 8/26/19 - 08/27/19 between 9:00 PM and 6:50 AM, a 2017 Audi model A4 was removed on Strattford Road, Garden City Park.
On 9/20/19 - 9/21/19 between 6:45 PM and 9:10 AM, a Mercedes GS450 was stolen on Mimosa Drive, East Hills.
On 9/20/19 - 9/21/19 between 9:00 PM and 11:53 AM, a 2016 Audi was stolen on Poplar Drive, East Hills.
On 9/21/19 at approximately 2:56 AM, a 2017 Mercedes and a Cadillac Escalade were stolen on Sycamore Drive, East Hills.
On 9/22/19 - 9/23/19 between 6:00 PM and 6:45 AM, a 2018 Lexus RX350 was stolen from The Pines, Old Westbury.
On 9/23/19 at approximately 3:00 AM, a 2019 Infiniti QX60, 2019 BMW X3 and a 2019 Chevrolet Corvette were stolen from The Pines, Old Westbury.
On 9/24/19 - 9/25/19 between 8:00 PM and 1:30 PM, a 2019 BMW 330 CI was stolen from Abby Lane, Syosset.
On 9/25/19 at approximately 3:00 AM, assorted merchandise was stolen from the garage of a residence located on Chestnut Lane, Woodbury.
After an extensive investigation, Jorge Alvarez, 18, of 5739 Vandoren Street, Queens and Matthew Garcia, 21, of 10922 54th Avenue, Queens were both identified as being two of the subjects responsible. On Wednesday, September 25, 2019, at 3:45 PM, defendant Jorge Alvarez was located on Corona Avenue, Corona Queens and arrested. Several hours later at 8:45 PM, defendant Mathew Garcia was located on Union Turnpike, Flushing Queens and arrested.
Defendant Matthew Garcia is charged with two counts of Burglary 2nd degree, five counts of Grand Larceny 4th degree, four counts of Grand Larceny 3rd degree and seven counts of Grand Larceny 2nd degree. Defendant Jorge Alvarez is charged with Burglary 2nd degree, two counts of Grand Larceny 2nd degree and Grand Larceny 3rd degree. They will be arraigned on Friday, September 27, 2019 at First District Court, Hempstead.
