
The Second Squad reports the arrest of an Oyster Bay man for a Burglary that occurred on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 3:15 AM in Oyster Bay.
According to detectives, defendant Frank Mejia, 30, of 50 Glen Cove Road entered a 7/11 store located at 26 Pine Hollow Road and requested from the adult male employee a pizza but was informed that they were not currently serving food. Defendant Frank Mejia became irate and followed the employee behind a counter and into a back room marked employees only and became physically aggressive towards the employee. Defendant Frank Mejia took out a knife, swung at the employee multiple times and followed him outside of the store. Police arrived and arrested defendant Frank Mejia without further incident. The victim sustained a small laceration to his left hand but refused medical attention at scene.
Defendant Frank Mejia is charged with two counts of Burglary 2nd degree, Assault 2nd degree, Menacing 2nd degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree. He will be arraigned on Friday, September 27, 1029 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
