
The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of an Amityville man on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 3:45 p.m. in Plainview.
According to Narcotics/Vice Squad Detectives, as part of Operation Natalie, Nassau County’s War Against Opioids, detectives were investigating a fatal overdose from Plainview. The investigation led to the vicinity of Pamela Court where they arrested the defendant, Shaquille Ricks, 25, of 79 Tyrconnell Street. The defendant Ricks was found in possession of Acetaminophen, Hydrocodone and Marijuana. He was arrested without incident.
Defendant Shaquille Ricks has been charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree. He will be arraigned on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
The Nassau County Police Department reminds the public that as part of Operation Natalie and our Multi Prong Approach of Education, Awareness, Enforcement, Treatment, Diversion and After Care Visits, we will be continuing with our zero-tolerance response to any and all illegal drug activity within the County.
