The Robbery Squad reports the Arrest of a Thomaston man for multiple incidents that occurred on multiple dates in Nassau County.
According to detectives, Jonathan Barrientos, 28, of 37 Spruce St, was responsible for the following incidents on the following dates:
-August 25, 2019 at 8:00 p.m.-220 Northern Blvd., Great Neck. Defendant entered the Shell gas station and removed various merchandise from the shelves before exiting the establishment without attempting to pay.
-October 21, 2019 at 6:12 p.m.-29 Middle Neck Rd., Great Neck Plaza. Defendant entered News and Convenience Store and stated to the clerk that he had a gun and wanted the money from the register. He then fled the store in an unknown direction without proceeds.
-October 21, 2019 at 7:15 p.m.-BP Gas Station-85 N. Central Ave, Valley Stream. Defendant entered the BP Gas Station and pointed a handgun at the clerk. He instructed the victim to give him the money in the register. Barrientos then fled the scene on foot with currency.
After an investigation, Robbery Squad, with assistance from Bureau of Special Operation Officers, placed the defendant under arrest on Thursday, October 24, 2019 without incident.
Jonathan Barrientos is charged with two (2) counts of Robbery 1st Degree, Criminal Use of a Firearm 1st Degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree, Petit Larceny, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree and Attempted Robbery 3rd Degree. He will be arraigned on Friday, October 25, 2019 at First District Court, Hempstead.
