The Second Squad reports the arrest of two people from Glen Head for the shooting of a gun that occurred on Monday, November 18, 2019 at 8:55 P.M. in Jericho.
According to detectives, police were dispatched for shots fired that occurred at the Meadowbrook Motor Lodge, located at 440 Jericho Turnpike after a male subject was observed in the parking lot with what appeared to be a handgun and fired multiple shots in the direction of a nearby gas station. No injuries reported at scene. Upon police arrival, the subject was seen running through the rear of the building with an adult female. These subjects, now known as defendants Vincent Tasso, 24 and Molly Dutrow, 25, both residing at 4 Ferncote Lane, Glen Head, were apprehended without further incident. During the investigation is was found that defendant Vincent Tasso was also the subject of a grand larceny that had occurred on Thursday, November 14, 2019 in Hicksville and that defendant Molly Dutrow had an open NYS parole warrant.
Defendant Vincent Tasso is charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Reckless Endangerment 1st degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree and Grand Larceny 4th degree. Defendant Molly Dutrow is charged with Violation of Parole. Both were arraigned on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
