The Major Case Bureau in conjunction with the Port Washington Police Department reports the arrest of a Manhattan man that occurred on Tuesday, November, 19, 2019 at 3:15 P.M. in Manhattan.
According to Narcotics/Vice Squad detectives, as part of Operation Natalie, Nassau County’s War Against Opioids, an investigation into a fatal overdose, that occurred in Port Washington, led to the arrest of Andrew Banks, 51, of 1881 Park Avenue. The defendant was arrested without incident at a Manhattan location.
Defendant Andrew Banks has been charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree. He will be arraigned on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at First District Court in Hempstead.
The Nassau County Police Department reminds the public that as part of Operation Natalie and our multi prong approach of Education, Awareness, Enforcement, Treatment, Diversion and After Care Visits, we will be continuing with our zero-tolerance response to any and all illegal drug activity within the County.
