The Nassau County Police Department reports a DWI arrest that occurred on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at 5:25am in Baldwin.
According to Police, defendant Madeline Banegas, 49, of 329 E. State Street Long Beach, was operating her 2017 gray colored Nissan Rogue with the female victim, 24, as a passenger in the vehicle. As the defendant was operating her vehicle, she struck numerous parked cars located on Cherrywood Drive and Milburn Avenue. The victim in fear of her safety jumped from the car and contacted police. Officers located the defendant in front of 1034 Northern Boulevard and conducted a Vehicle and Traffic Law stop. Subsequent to the investigation, Officers arrested the defendant without incident. No injuries were reported.
Defendant Madeline Banegas is charged with DWI, Reckless Endangerment 2nd Degree and seven counts of Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Property Damage. The defendant will be arraigned on Monday, November 25, 2019 in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
