First Squad detectives report the arrest of a Uniondale man for multiple incidents that occurred on Sunday, December 1, 2019.
According to detectives, Gregory Davidson, 43, of 587 Liberty Street, was the subject of a 911 call to a Southern Parkway, Uniondale residence at 6:50 am. Davidson entered the home through an unlocked kitchen door, grabbed a kitchen knife and proceeded into one of the homes bedrooms. Davidson then grabbed a 9 year old male victim, threatened his life while holding the knife to his neck and proceeded to the basement where a second victim, a 43 year old female, was also threatened by him demanding sexual conduct from her. After the female victim’s husband awoke, Davidson then fled the home. First Precinct officers, who were alerted to other incidents in the area located Davidson in the rear yard of a neighboring Southern Parkway home. He was then placed under arrest without further incident.
A subsequent investigation by detectives revealed that Davidson was the subject involved in two other incidents that occurred in Uniondale that same morning.
At 6:20 am., in front of 785 New Street, Davidson approached a 64 year old female, unsuccessfully attempted to take her pocketbook, kicking her and causing the victim to fall to the ground. He then fled the scene on foot. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of a shoulder injury.
At 6:40 am., Davidson attempted to enter a rear window on a Southern Parkway residence, setting off the home’s alarm causing him to flee the scene.
Davidson is charged with Attempted Robbery 3rd Degree, Attempted Burglary 2nd Degree, two (2) counts of Burglary 2nd Degree, Kidnapping 2nd Degree, Unlawful Imprisonment 1st Degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th Degree, Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree and two (2) counts of Menacing 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on 12/02/2019.
