N.Y. State Championship Team to Sign
WRESTLING TAKES DOWN DRUGS PLEDGE
Commissioner of Police Patrick J. Ryder, the Friends of Long Island Wrestling and Massapequa High School announce that Massapequa HS, the defending New York State wrestling dual meet champions, along with the Freeport HS wrestling team, will sign a pledge to stay away from opioids and related drugs during the 2020 season to focus on becoming the best wrestlers they can be.
The Friends of Long Island Wrestling has partnered with the Nassau County Police Department for the Wrestling Takes Down Drugs program in order to help address the growing opioid and drug epidemic that is affecting communities all across the country,
Join us as we recognize these two High Schools and their wrestlers who have made a commitment to taking down drugs in their community. The teams will be joined by the Massapequa youth wrestling program during the presentation honoring their commitment.
