Arson Bomb Squad detectives report the details of a fatal house fire that occurred on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 12:35 pm in Plainview.

According to detectives, a 911 call was dispatched for a house fire at an Audrey Avenue home. The Plainview Fire Department, with the assistance of Jericho, Syosset and Bethpage Fire Departments extinguished the fire. Upon further inspection of the home, the body of a 65 year old female resident was found deceased in an upstairs bedroom.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined but it appears to non-criminal in nature at this time. The investigation into this incident continues.
