The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Carle Place woman on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 1:00 AM for Grand Larceny.
According to detectives, defendant Regine Valery, 38, (also known as Regine Johnson) of 3 Rudolph Drive, was employed as a home health aide for the 92-year-old female victim residing in Sands Point. On November 11, 2019 the victim’s daughter, who had mailed her mother a package, discovered that the package was redirected to another address and called police. The police investigation resulted in discovering that defendant Regine Valery changed the victims mailing address to a PO box in Roosevelt. Defendant Regine Valery did use the victims credit card without her permission totaling over $22,000 US currency between August 16, 2019 and October 7, 2019. Defendant Regine Valery was arrested at her residence without incident.
Defendant Regine Valery is charged with Grand Larceny 3rd degree, Grand Larceny 4th degree and Identity Theft 1st degree. She will be arraigned on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at First District Court, 99 Main Street Hempstead.
Detectives request anyone that feels that they may have been victimized by the defendant to contact the Nassau County Police Department or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
