Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a Hempstead man for Robbery that occurred on July 29, 2019 at 4:35 pm in Hempstead.
According to Burglary Pattern detectives, a male entered a Verizon store located at 13 Front Street and displayed a handgun. The subject ordered employees and customers to the floor. One employee was forced to open a safe and the subject removed an assortment of Apple IPhones. The subject fled on Front Street with the merchandise.
On Wednesday, February 26, 2020 Latise Eady, 27, of 12 Maple Avenue was arrested for the above incident.
During the investigation, Garden City detectives and Third Squad detectives determined Eady was responsible for the following Burglaries:
On September 11, 2019 a Hempstead residence – miscellaneous items and clothing was removed.
On October 9, 2019 H.L. Gross and Bros. Jewelers located at 840 Franklin Avenue – assorted jewelry was removed.
Defendant Eady is charged with Robbery 2nd Degree and two (2) counts of Burglary 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at First District Court, Hempstead.
