The Third Squad reports the Arrest of a homeless man for Criminal Possession of a Weapon that occurred on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 11:40 a.m. in East Meadow.
According to detectives, defendant Stephen Radi, 45, entered the 7-11 located at 2397 Hempstead Turnpike and threatened the store clerk, a 63-year-old male, with a boxcutter. He then took beer from the establishment and exited without attempting to pay. The subject then fled the scene on foot. He was located at 1:05 p.m. by a patrol unit in the vicinity of Nassau University Medical Center and placed under arrest without incident.
Stephen Radi is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree, Petit Larceny and Menacing 2nd degree. He will be arraigned on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at First District Court, Hempstead.
