
The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Valley Stream man for a Criminal Impersonation that occurred at 12:25am on Saturday March 21, 2020 in Hempstead.
According to Detectives, defendant Kaneik Brown, 27, of 103 Gold Street was operating a 2008 Mercedes Benz and had committed multiple traffic infractions that were observed by a Hempstead Police Officer. As the Officer attempted a Vehicle and Traffic Law stop the defendant waived an open wallet out of his driver’s side window. Subsequent to the investigation, defendant Brown made several oral statements stating that he was a Nassau County Police Officer. A search incident to arrest and a consent search secured a name tag, a tie clip, handcuff keys, a replica HK VP9 BB gun, duty belt, an armor plate carrier, dashboard light, navy blue pants and an empty holster.
Defendant Kaneik Brown is charged with Criminal Impersonation 2nd Degree and multiple traffic violations. Defendant Kaneik Brown was released on an Appearance Ticket returnable on April 10, 2020 to First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
