
The Special Victims Squad, with the assistance of First Squad Detectives, and the New York City Police Departments Sixty Seventh Precinct plain clothes Officers, report the arrest of a homeless man for a Rape that occurred on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 5:10 AM in Roosevelt.
According to Detectives, Kenneth Saquon Mallete, 33, entered a Conlon Road residence through a rear window. The defendant made his way up the second floor of the residence where he woke up the seventy seven year old female victim. After a brief conversation the defendant sexually assaulted the victim multiple times. At one point during the sexual assault the defendant left the room to check on a noise from an upstairs bedroom. The victim took this opportunity to exit her residence and call 911 from a neighbors home. The defendant fled the scene on foot.
After a thorough investigation the defendant was located in the confines of Brooklyn and placed under arrest without incident.
Kenneth Saquon Mallete is charged with Rape 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, Three (3) counts of Criminal Sexual Act 1st Degree by Forcible Compulsion and Predatory Sexual Assault. He will be arraigned on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 by First District Court, Hempstead.
