The Special Investigations Squad reports the arrest of a Deer Park man at 11:00am on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 for a Grand Larceny that occurred in Roslyn.
According to Detectives, defendant Anthony Callari, 61, of 70 Pine Acres Boulevard while employed as a butcher manager for Bryant and Cooper Steakhouse located at 2 Middle Neck Road did remove US currency from the cash register without permission to do so. The defendant systematically voided fraudulent sales slips and removed the said amount from the register in the form of cash. When the victim compiled their findings, it was reported to police on Thursday, April 2, 2020. Subsequent to the investigation, the loss between January 2016 to April 2020 was determined to be approximately $88,493.00 dollars US currency.
Defendant Anthony Callari was arrested without incident and is charged with one count of Grand Larceny 2nd Degree and one count of Falsify Business Records 1st Degree. He was arraigned on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 and released on an Appearance Ticket returnable to Nassau County Court 262 Old County Road Mineola on Wednesday, May 27, 2020.
