The First Squad reports the arrest of a Manhattan man for Assault that occurred on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at 7:25 p.m. in Baldwin.
According to detectives, officers responded to Gino’s Pizzeria, 919 Atlantic Avenue, for a disturbance. Upon police arrival it was determined a male subject entered the pizzeria to confront an employee. The subject began smashing multiple items within the store and threw a large metal container, striking a male victim. As the subject was smashing items within the pizzeria a large piece of broken glass struck a second male victim. The subject then took two cell phones from the counter and fled the scene in a gray Chrysler sedan eastbound on Atlantic Avenue. After a thorough investigation the defendant, Ricardo Luckain, 29, of 30 Bank Street was located at a residence on Milburn Avenue. He was placed into custody without further incident. Both victims received medical treatment from a Nassau County Police Medic at scene.
The Defendant Ricardo Luckain has been charged with two (2) counts of Assault 2nd Degree, Grand Larceny 4th Degree, Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana. He will be arraigned on Friday, April 24, 2020 in Mineola.
