The Fifth Squad reports on the arrest of three men for a Robbery that occurred on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at 2:15 am in Elmont.
According to detectives, a 25-year-old male victim was in his vehicle near the intersection of Kirkman Avenue and Blossom Street when a silver 2002 Jaguar with three male subjects inside approached the vehicle. Defendants Deshawn Foy, 30, of 1907 Lewiston Avenue, St. Albans and defendant Inmouni Gooden, 25, of 209 Butler Boulevard, Elmont exited the Jaguar and opened the doors of the victim’s vehicle. Foy and Gooden both presented firearms and pointed them at the victim demanding all of his money. The victim complied and gave them an unknown amount of US currency. Foy and Gooden then returned to the Jaguar, operated by Defendant Michael Myrie, of 209 Butler Boulevard and all three defendants fled northbound on Kirkman Avenue. Police responded to the scene and a short time later the silver Jaguar was located in a McDonalds parking lot at 1240 Hempstead Turnpike where all three subjects were arrested without incident.
Defendant Michael Myrie is charged with three counts of Robbery 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st degree. Defendant Inmouni Gooden is charged with Robbery 1st degree, two counts of Robbery 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st degree. Defendant Deshawn Foy is charged with three counts of Robbery 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st degree. All three defendants will be arraigned on Thursday, April 30, 2020 in Mineola.
