The First Squad reports the arrest of a North Massapequa woman on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 for Grand Larceny that occurred in Bellmore.
According to detectives, a female victim, 73 years of age, had asked her friend Maureen Adamo, 52 of 366 Briarwood Road to assist her with making sure her bills were paid while she recovered from a medical procedure. Beginning in January of 2015 Adamo began to forge checks from the victim’s account and deposit them into her own account totaling a loss in excess of $50,000.00 dollars. Detectives located Adamo on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 in Bethpage and placed her under arrest.
Adamo is charged with Grand Larceny 2nd degree and (4) four counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd degree. She will be arraigned on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at First District Court in Hempstead.
