Major Case Bureau-Gang Investigations Squad detectives report the Arrest of two individuals for Attempted Murder that occurred on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at 9:08 p.m. in Hempstead.
According to detectives, while attending a party on Union Place, a 23-year-old male got into a physical confrontation with two individuals. The two subjects stabbed the victim multiple times in the face and body before fleeing the scene on foot. The victim was transported to a local hospital with severe injuries to his chest, heart, lungs, face and internal organs which required multiple surgeries.
On Tuesday, May 12, 2020, defendant Ernest Celestin, 21, of 451 Fulton St., Apt. 507 in Hempstead was placed under Arrest for the above incident. He is charged with Murder 2nd degree (Attempt), Assault 1st degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon. He was arraigned on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 in Mineola.
On Saturday, May 23, 2020, defendant Crystal Moore, 22, of 714 Windsor Rd., Uniondale was also placed under arrest for the above incident. Defendant Moore is charged with Murder 2nd degree (Attempt), two (2) counts of Assault 1st degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree. She will be arraigned on Sunday, May 24, 2020 in Mineola.
