The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Westbury man for an Assault that occurred on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 10:00 PM in Westbury.
According to Detectives, Officers responded to a Gordon Avenue residence for a domestic incident. Upon Police arrival it was determined that a male subject was involved in a domestic dispute with a forty-nine-year-old female victim. The subject, Miguel Jimenez, 46, was hiding in the basement of the residence. The responding officers located the subject hiding in a closet. He was immediately combative, and Officers placed him into custody. While transporting the defendant to a police vehicle, he became extremely combative, and began flailing his legs. He then proceeded to head butt one Officer and kick the other Officer. The two Officers were treated at a local hospital for their injuries. The defendant was transported to the Third Precinct for arrest processing.
Defendant, Miguel Jimenez has been charged with two (2) counts of Assault 2nd Degree, Criminal Mischief 4th Degree, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing/Blood Circulation, Resisting Arrest, and Petit Larceny. The defendant was also found to have two (2) open Nassau County First District Arrest Warrants for violations. He will be arraigned on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 in Mineola.
