The First Squad reports the Arrest of a Bellmore woman for Robbery (Attempt) that occurred on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 9:30 p.m. in Bellmore.
According to detectives, officers responded to a domestic disturbance at 61 Briggs St. While conducting their investigation, they were confronted by defendant Erica Carlson, 46. Defendant Carlson became irate with the officers, making numerous threats to harm them physically. When officers attempted to place her under arrest, the defendant struggled, punching and scratching an officer while attempting to remove the officers’ gun from the holster. She was eventually placed into custody. The officer was transported to a local hospital with hand injuries. The defendant was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
Defendant Carlson is charged with Robbery 3rd degree (Attempt), Harassment 2nd degree and Resisting Arrest. She will be arraigned on Thursday, May 28, 2020 in Mineola.
