First Squad detectives report the arrest of a Freeport female for an incident that occurred on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 9:05 pm in Freeport.
According to detectives, Gabrielle Revere, 24, of 10 Best Street, had a brief interaction with officers near Freeport Headquarters, 40 N Ocean Avenue, before fleeing this location while committing numerous traffic infractions. Officers observed the defendant driving erratically before intentionally striking a police vehicle causing the officer to suffer non-life-threatening injuries. The defendant began driving against the flow of traffic and struck a parked taxi cab.
While officers were attempting to conduct a lawful vehicle traffic stop, defendant, Revere, continued east on Sunrise Highway after driving over the center median ignoring officers attempts to pull her over. As Revere approached the intersection of Sunrise Highway and Merrick Avenue, she struck two occupied vehicles stopped in traffic at a high rate of speed. As a result of this collision, 3 female adults and 2 female juveniles suffered non-life threatening and were transported to a local hospital.
The defendant was placed into custody at the scene and transported to a local hospital. Revere is charged with Assault 1st Degree, Assault 2nd Degree, two (2) counts of Assault 3rd Degree, Reckless Endangerment 1st Degree, Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree, two (2) counts of Criminal Mischief 4th Degree, Unlawful Fleeing of a Police Officer 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Leaving the Scene of an Accident 1st Degree, Reckless Driving, and multiple traffic infractions. She will be arraigned in Mineola on 6/7/2020.
