Fourth Squad Detectives report the arrest of two (2) males for multiple larcenies that occurred Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. in North Lawrence.
According to Detectives, an investigation was being conducted in regards to multiple larcenies from a Fed Ex drop box located at 136 Spruce Street in Cedarhurst. The investigation determined that Thomas Mensah, 21, of 344 Beach 87th Street, Queens and Michael Fayemiwo, 22, of 790 Lanett Avenue, Far Rockaway were responsible. Detectives were able to locate both defendants in a 2018 white BMW in the parking lot of Jimmy Jazz, located at 253-01 Rockaway Turnpike in North Lawrence. Both defendants were taken into custody without further incident.
Defendant Thomas Mensah has been charged with eight (8) counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 1st Degree, two (2) counts of Possession of Burglar Tools, Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, Petit Larceny and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana 2nd Degree.
Defendant Michael Fayemiwo has been charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st Degree, Forgery of a Vehicle Identification Number, Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, two (2) counts of Petit Larceny and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana 2nd Degree. Both defendants will be arraigned on Thursday, June 11, 2020 in Mineola.
