
The Seventh Squad reports the details of a Criminal Mischief that occurred between 7:00 PM, on Saturday June 19, 2020 and 4:55 AM on Sunday, June 20, 2020 in Wantagh.
According to Detectives, while on routine patrol, a Seventh Precinct Police Officer did discover property damage in the form of graffiti at Smashburger Restaurant, located at 1223 Wantagh Avenue, done by an unknown subject or subjects. This incident appears to be isolated and not a random act of criminal mischief.

Rorenise Toafili, 26, of 116 W. Walnut Street, Farmingdale, was arrested for the above incident.
During the investigation it was determined Toafili was responsible for graffiti on Hempstead Court House located at 99 Main Street.
While detectives were processing the arrest, Toafili shoved an officer and attempted to flee before being taken into custody. An officer suffered an injury to their finger and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Rorenise Toafili is charged with Assault 2nd degree, Attempted Escape 2nd degree, four (4) counts of Making Graffiti, Criminal Tampering 3rd degree, Criminal Mischief 3rd degree, three (3) counts of Criminal Mischief 4th degree, and Resisting Arrest. He will be arraigned on Monday, June 22, 2020 in Mineola.
