The Homicide Squad reports the arrest of a Farmingdale man for a Homicide that occurred on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at 10:39 p.m. in Hicksville.
According to Detectives, Eighth Precinct Officers responded to La Candela Peruvian Restaurant located at 495 South Broadway for a male victim bleeding. Upon arrival it was determined the defendant David Jimenez Salazar, 22, of 72 Main Street, was involved in an altercation with a male coworker. The altercation escalated and the defendant stabbed the male victim, 37, in the neck with a piece of broken glass. The defendant was placed into custody without further incident. The victim was pronounced deceased at scene by a Nassau County Police Medic. The victim’s identification is being withheld at this time pending family notification.
The defendant David Jimenez Salazar has been charged with Murder 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree. He will be arraigned on Friday, July 17, 2020 in Mineola.
