The Fifth Squad reports the arrest of three men for a Robbery that occurred on Monday, July 20, 2020 at 12:40 AM in West Hempstead.
According to Detectives, three subjects did enter a room at the Capri Motor Inn, located at 434 Hempstead Turnpike and confronted the two adult male victims, 18 and 19, inside. While displaying weapons, the subjects demanded the victim’s money, clothes and cellphones. After the victims complied they attempted to take a gun away from one of the subjects, at which time the victim, 19, was stabbed by another subject.
The three subjects then fled the scene in a 2007 Cadillac Escalade. At approximately 4:10 AM Officers observed the vehicle and conducted a vehicle a traffic law stop on Third Avenue, Mineola. The three subjects were placed under arrest without further incident. The defendants were identified as Bishop Wilkerson, 19, of 85 Pinelawn Avenue, Copiague; Judah Hernandez, 18, of 18 Woodland Road, Valley Stream and Alonzo Loyala, 18, of 94 East Valley Stream Boulevard, Valley Stream. The injured victim suffered deep lacerations to his abdomen and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment for his injuries.
Defendants Wilkerson and Hernandez are each charged with six counts of Robbery 1st degree, two counts of Robbery 2nd degree, two counts of Assault 1st degree, three counts of Burglary 1st degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm and Criminal Use of a Firearm 1st degree. Defendant Loyala is charged
with six counts of Robbery 1st degree, two counts of Robbery 2nd degree, two counts of Assault 1st degree, three counts of Burglary 1st degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree, Criminal Use of a Firearm 1st degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree. All three defendants will be arraigned on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 in Mineola.
