The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Commack man for Endangering the Welfare of a Disabled Person that occurred on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 10:30 PM in Commack. According to Detectives, on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 7:45 AM, a 49 year old male residing at his residence located in Westbury went upstairs to check on his 6 year old learning disabled son and his caretaker, defendant Thomas Tana, 60, of 47 Longhouse Way. When the father opened his son’s bedroom door, he found defendant Thomas Tana inappropriately touching himself in front of his undressed son. The father yelled at defendant Thomas Tana and he left the residence on foot before the police arrived. The victim suffered no injuries but was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation. A Police investigation was conducted which led to locating defendant Thomas Tana at his residence, where he was placed under arrest without further incident.
