
The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a Baldwin man for multiple Robberies that occurred in Rockville Centre.
According to Robbery Squad Detectives, defendant Joseph E. Austin, 26, of 3 Kingston Avenue Baldwin is charged with two counts of Robbery 3rd Degree, one count of Petit Larceny and one count of Resisting Arrest for the following crimes:
Tuesday January 19, 2021 a 45-year-old male Dominos delivery driver on S. Centre Avenue was punched, his money grabbed out of his hand and the defendant fled on foot with the cash and food.
Wednesday January 20, 2021 a 36-year-old male Chinese food delivery driver on Osbourne Place was pushed, money grabbed out of his hand and the defendant fled on foot.
Thursday January 21, 2021 a 27-year-old male Chinese food delivery driver on Liberty Avenue was approached and US currency was taken out of the vehicle.
As Detectives attempted to place the defendant into custody he resisted and a physical struggle ensued. Defendant Joseph E. Austin was placed into custody on January 23, 2021 at 3:10am on South Main Street in Freeport. He will be arraigned on Saturday, January 23, 2021 in Mineola.
