
The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a Hempstead male for the Possession of a Controlled Substance that occurred on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 3:05 PM in East Meadow.
According to Narcotics Vice Detectives, as part of Operation Natalie, Nassau County’s War Against Opioids, BSO (Bureau of Special Operations) Officers while on patrol, observed a white 2021 BMW traveling south on East Meadow Avenue. The vehicle had no front bumper or front license plate. Officers activated their emergency lights and conducted a Vehicle and Traffic Law Stop near the intersection of Front Street. Officers detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle and had the defendant, Ralik Shaheem Petty, 24 of 355 Clinton Street exit the vehicle from the driver’s seat in order to conduct an investigation. During the investigation, a substance believed to be marijuana and several controlled substances were recovered. Defendant Ralik Shaheem Petty was placed under arrest without incident.
Defendant Ralik Shaheem Petty is charged with five counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th degree, three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th degree, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd degree and several Vehicle and Traffic Law Infractions. He will be arraigned Thursday, February 4, 2021 in Mineola.
