The Fifth Squad reports the arrest of a Brentwood man for a Grand Larceny that occurred on February 28, 2021 at approximately 10:00 PM in West Hempstead.
According to Detectives, a male victim called 911 to report that his driver’s side window of his 2014 Toyota Camry was shattered with an object. The victims’ wallet containing credit cards, NYS License, and an unknown amount of US Currency was removed. The Victims’ credit card had an unauthorized purchase on March 1, 2021 at Seven-Eleven located at 136 Hempstead Tpke., West Hempstead. A short time later, an unauthorized purchase was made at Bolla Market/Shell Gas Station located at 101 Hempstead Tpke, West Hempstead. A thorough investigation was conducted and Fayez Algammaz, 31, of 30 4th Ave was arrested without incident on March 6, 2021 at 11:00 AM in West Hempstead.
During the investigation it was determined Algammaz was responsible for the following incidents:
Defendant Algammaz is charged with three counts of Grand Larceny 4th Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree, Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, two counts Identity Theft 2nd Degree, Identity Theft 3rd Degree, and three counts Petit Larceny. He will be arraigned on Sunday, March 7, 2021 in Mineola.
