The First Squad reports the arrest of male from Uniondale and a juvenile from Roosevelt for an incident that occurred on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 6:50 p.m. in Uniondale.
According to Detectives, First Precinct Officers responded to Ash Court for a call of multiple shots being fired. Upon arrival, officers began an investigation and safely recovered a Ruger handgun and a shell casing. The investigation led to the arrests of Jamal Cole, 19, of 562 Ash Court and a male juvenile, 17, from Roosevelt. Both defendants were taken into custody without further incident. There were no injuries reported.
The defendant Jamal Cole has been charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, Reckless Endangerment 1st Degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree. The juvenile defendant has been charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Firearm. They will both be arraigned on Thursday, April 15, 2021 in Mineola.
