The Eighth Squad reports the arrest of a Central Islip man on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 5:34 PM in Levittown
According to Detectives, sometime between 6PM on Friday, May 21, 2021 and 9:30AM on Saturday, May 22, 2021, defendant Jarrid Lopez, 24, of 25 Bow Lane, without permission to do so, entered his place of employment, Flowers by Phil, located at 2728 Hempstead Turnpike, Levittown. The Defendant gained access by damaging the rear door of the store. Once inside, defendant Jarrid Lopez located the keys to a Grey 2000 Mercury Sable owned by another store employee and fled the scene in the vehicle. Defendant Jarrid Lopez was placed under arrest several hours later without further incident.
Defendant Jarrid Lopez is charged with Burglary 3rd degree, Criminal Mischief 3rd degree and Grand Larceny 3rd degree. He will be arraigned on Sunday, May 23, 2021 in Mineola.
