The Criminal Intelligence Rapid Response Team (CIRRT) Officers report the arrests of two people in Franklin Square on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at 10:45 p.m.
CIRRT Officers observed a 2020 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck parked illegally in front of a fire hydrant on Franklin Street in Franklin Square. Officers initiated a VTL investigation North bound on Franklin street at 930 Hempstead Turnpike. Upon their investigation Officers observed what appeared to be a firearm on the rear driver side floor board next to ammunition and empty shell casings. Upon further investigation CIRRT Officers recovered three unregistered, loaded firearms (a Sig Sauer P365 9mm, a P. Beretta-Model 950 B-Cal 6.35, and a Glock26 9mm) along with a large polymer pistol frame used to build a gun from scratch. CIRRT Officers also recovered 6.6 grams of hallucinogenic psilocybin mushrooms. Defendants are Anthony Cinelli, 26 years old, of Pipe Stave Hollow Road, Miller Place and Defendant Marina Rubio, a female 26 years old of Glen Court, Farmingdale.
Defendant Cinelli is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd degree, three counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th degree, three counts of Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd degree, three counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd degree, two counts of Unlawful Possession Large Capacity Ammunition Deeding Device, and two counts of Unlawful Possession Certain Ammo Feeding Devices Not in Home in the 1st degree. Defendant Rubio is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd degree. They will be arraigned on Thursday, June 24, 2021 in Mineola.
