The Seventh Squad reports the arrest of a Bellmore man on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at 2:11 A.M. in Bellmore.
According to Detectives, Police responded to a home in Bellmore for an adult male suffering chest pains and difficulty breathing. Upon Police arrival, the male became verbally and physically combative. The male, now known as defendant Anthony Martone, 59 of 2825 Alder Road, did push a Police Officer down stairs causing pain to his neck and back before spitting in the face of a responding Nassau County Police Medic. Defendant Anthony Martone also caused two more Officers to have hand and wrist pain before being arrested and transported by a Nassau County Police Ambulance to a nearby hospital for assessment. The three Officers and Police Medic were also transported to a nearby hospital for assessment and treatment.
Defendant Anthony Martone is being charged with Assault 2nd degree, Harassment 2nd degree and Resisting Arrest. He will be arraigned when medically practical.
