The Public Information Office reports the arrest of a Westchester man at 7:19 pm on Sunday, July 18,2021 at Manhasset Bay Marina, Port Washington.
Marine Bureau Officers Aboard Marine 11, responded to the Manhasset Bay Marina, 10 Matinecock Avenue, to assist the Town of North Hempstead Bay Constable with a male operating a 2020 Rinker Boat, who had struck 2 vessels, a 60-foot Grand Banks and a 22-foot Cobalt. Upon arrival, officers observed the Town of North Hempstead Bay Constable with the male and docked vessel. After a subsequent investigation, Marine Bureau Officers arrested defendant Todd Magliato, 52, of 999 Weaver Street, New Rochelle, without further incident.
No injuries were reported.
Defendant Todd Magliato is charged with Operating a Vessel Impaired by Alcohol, Operating a Vessel Intoxicated, Reckless Operation of a Vessel in a Prudent Manner, Failure to Attach Engine Cut-Off Lanyard of Personal Watercraft and Improper Display of Validating Sticker. He will be arraigned on Monday, July 19, 2021 at First District Court 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
