Third Squad Detectives report the arrest of a Uniondale man on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 6:00 pm for Forcible Touching.
According to detectives, officers responded to Walmart, located at 1220 Old Country Road, Westbury, on July 30, 2021, for a report of a female, 27, who was forcibly touched by a male inside the store. Upon arrival officers began to search for the suspect while additional units canvassed the outside of the building with negative results.
A subsequent investigation that followed, lead police to locate and arrest the suspect, Benjamin Francis, 32, of 570 Clinton Avenue without incident on July 31, 2021 at his residence.
During the thorough investigation, it was determined that Francis was also responsible for the following incidents:
June 13, 2021 – A female victim, 28, was forcibly touched while shopping in Walmart, located at 1123 Jerusalem Avenue, Uniondale.
July 11, 2021- A female victim, 18, was forcibly touched while shopping in Walmart, located at 2465 Hempstead Turnpike, East Meadow.
Defendant Benjamin Francis is charged with three (3) counts of Forcible Touching and will be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on August 1, 2021.
