The Nassau County Police Department reports the arrest of a Deer Park man at 5:13am on Saturday July 11, 2015.
According to Police, the Suffolk County Police Department had issued a notification for a vehicle they were following for an incident that occurred in Suffolk County. The driver of the vehicle entered into Nassau County and the gold colored 2007 Cadillac NY registration GYL3230 was observed by officers on the Southern State Parkway at exit 19. The vehicle missing a tire was travelling westbound without illuminated headlights and taillights. The vehicle continued westbound at a high rate of speed in a reckless manner. The vehicle became inoperable and came to a rest on the Belt Parkway in Laurelton. The driver and passenger both fled the scene on foot but were apprehended with the assistance of the New York State Police Department. The female passenger was released without being charged with a crime.
Defendant Winston D. Treasure did resist arrest by flailing his arms and legs, punching and kicking and refusing verbal commands. He is charged with Reckless Endangerment 1st degree, three counts of DWI, three counts of Aggravated Unlicensed 1st degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of Marijuana, Reckless Driving, Resisting Arrest, two counts of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, and multiple Vehicle and Traffic Law Violations. He will be arraigned on Sunday July 12, 2015 in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
