Third Squad detectives are investigating an incident that occurred on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 5:00 am in Garden City Park.
According to detectives, a 37-year-old male victim states he heard loud banging on his door. The victim left his bedroom to investigate and observed four male subjects, all armed with hand guns, forcibly enter his Churchill Drive residence and run up the stairs toward him. Once inside the residence, the subjects threatened the victim and tied him up demanding cash. The victim was then led to the bathroom and placed in the bath tub, after he was hit across his head with a pistol. The subjects removed an undisclosed amount of currency and proceeds from the residence before fleeing the scene.
The male victim was eventually able to free himself and call for help. He suffered a head injury and bruises from the restraints that were tied to his wrists.
Upon police arrival, the male victim further described the subjects as four male blacks, wearing all black colored clothing and ski masks covering their faces.
The investigation is currently ongoing.
