Homicide Detectives are investigating an auto accident that occurred on Friday, August 20, 2021 at11:05 p.m. in New Hyde Park. 

According to Detectives, a male driver, 41, driving a Yamaha motorcycle was headed Southbound on New Hyde Park road when he collided with a Toyota Rav4, male driver 18-years-old, who was turning left while heading Northbound on New Hyde Park road. The driver of the Toyota Rav4 did not report any injuries, the driver of the motorcycle was pronounced at scene by Medics. An investigation is ongoing and no other details are being released at this time, including the names of the drivers.

The operator of the motorcycle has been identified as Heriberto Ramirez Ortiz, 41 of New Hyde Park.
