Active Assailant Incident & Table Top Exercise
County Executive Laura Curran and Commissioner of Police Patrick Ryder announce the Nassau County Police Department, in collaboration with Nassau County OEM, the City of Glen Cove Police Department, Glen Cove Fire Department and EMS and the U.S. Coast Guard will conduct a command level exercise focusing on emergency service response to an active assailant incident at the Glen Cove Ferry Terminal.Topics include Response, Mitigation of impacts, Coordination of communication, Mass Care/Triage/Transportation of aided and recovery.
The goal of this exercise is to test existing plans and procedures and to insure the collective agencies are coordinated in response to an incident of this nature and magnitude.
Observers will be numerous other police officials, dignitaries, elected officials and representatives from Northwell Health/Glen Cove Hospital and NYU Langone Hospital.
