The Eighth Squad reports the arrest of an Elmont man for Unlawful Surveillance that occurred on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. in Levittown.
According to Detectives, a female employee, 39, entered the bathroom at Hunter Business School located at 3601 Hempstead Turnpike. She noticed what appeared to be a cell phone charging cube plugged into the wall next to the toilet. As she was exiting, the victim inspected the device and noticed there was a camera lens and a slot for a storage card.
A thorough investigation was conducted and Shehzad Asif, 37, of 47 Kingston Street was arrested.
Defendant Asif is charged with 13 counts of Unlawful Surveillance in the 2nd Degree and will be arraigned on Friday, September 3, 2021 at First District Court in Hempstead.
