Seventh Squad Detectives report the arrest of two Levittown men on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 7:00 a.m. in Wantagh. According to Detectives, Nassau County Marine Bureau Officers were assigned to Marine One which was docked at Wantagh Park Marina, 2300 Woodland avenue. Officers noticed a black Honda SUV with garbage scattered all around it. They also noticed a male slumped over the steering wheel with his eyes closed while the car was running. Officers proceeded to perform a welfare check on the driver and attempted to contact the two occupants of the vehicle. While the Officers tried to awake the male seated in the driver seat, the passenger of the car became very combative. He refused to comply with lawful commands and continuously made attempts to remove items from the car. Officers then discovered that the black Honda SUV was stolen. Upon further investigation the two subjects were discovered to be in possession of controlled substances and multiple stolen credit cards. Following a thorough Police investigation along with, the evidence and information the Officers were able to gather, it was determined that the two defendants, now known to Detectives as Andrew Franzo, 19, of 82 Blue Spruce road, and Nicolas Bocci, 21, of 151 Barbara lane, were responsible for multiple larcenies that occurred at the following times and locations: September 16, 2021, at 38 Parkside drive, Levittown September 16, 2021, at 37 Hilltop road, Levittown
Defendant Franzo is charged with Criminal Possession Stolen Property in the 3rd degree, Criminal Possession Stolen Property in the 4th degree, Criminal Mischief in the 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance in the 7th degree. Defendant Bocci is charged with two counts of Grand Larceny in the 4th degree, Grand Larceny in the 3rd degree, Attempted Identity Theft in the 3rd degree, Criminal Possession Stolen Property in the 3rd degree, Criminal Possession Stolen Property in the 4th degree, and two counts of Criminal Possession Controlled Substance in the 7th degree. The defendants will be arraigned on Friday, September 17, 2021 at First District Court, 99 Main street in Hempstead.
