The Homicide Squad is investigating a Fatal Vehicular Accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Monday, September 13, 2021at 9:58 pm in East Meadow.
According to detectives, a male, 34, was operating a 2000 Honda westbound on Hempstead Turnpike in the vicinity of Merrick Avenue and struck a male. The male suffered severe head trauma and was pronounced at the scene.
The driver remained at scene. The vehicle was brake and safety checked.
The investigation is ongoing.

The male victim has been identified as Rolando Lopez, 35, of East Meadow.
