The Public Information Office reports the arrest of an East Rockaway man for Bribery that occurred on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 6:15 pm in Oceanside.
According to police, officers responded to a 911 call for a male slumped over a steering wheel in front of a Pearl Street residence. Upon arrival, officers located a male in a 2003 Ford F150 and made contact to determine if he needed assistance. The male was confused and incoherent.
During the investigation officers warned the male about providing false information regarding his identification. The subject continued to provide the officers with the wrong name and date of birth after being warned multiple times. The subject proceeded to offer the police money to gain favor. Kevin Meyer, 32, of 9 Elbert Place, was arrested without incident.
Defendant Meyer is charged with False Impersonation and Bribery 3rd Degree. He will be arraigned when medically practical.
