The Major Case Bureau reports the arrests of six individuals for an incident that occurred on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 12:00 PM in New Cassel.
According to Narcotics/Vice Squad Detectives, members conducted a search warrant at 52 4th Avenue. During the subsequent investigation Detectives recovered an assault rifle, crack, cocaine, sedatives, opioids, ecstasy, U.S. currency and numerous articles of drug paraphernalia. Three pit bulls were found in the backyard living in inhumane conditions. The Town of North Hempstead Animal Control responded and took possession of the animals. The individuals present at the time of the investigation were taken into custody without further incident.
Defendants Yolanda Hyman, 37, of 52 4th Avenue, New Cassel, Imani Hughes, 25, of 251 Siegle Street, Westbury, Gilbert Robinson, 46, of 52 4th Avenue, New Cassel, Jermaine Porter, 26, of 301 Hopper Street, New Cassel, Craig Taylor, 55, of 52 4th Avenue, New Cassel, and Joseph Fountain, 36, of 86A Urban Avenue, New Cassel, are charged with (2) counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree. They will be arraigned on Thursday, October 28, 2021 in Hempstead.
