The First Squad reports the arrest of a Hempstead man that occurred on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. in Uniondale.
According to Detectives, Officers responded to the intersection of Nassau Road and Argyle Avenue for reports of a man displaying a gun. Officers were provided with a description of the male and were able to locate him. Defendant Shaolin James Bell, 19, of 4 Belmont Parkway, fled from Officers. A perimeter was established and the defendant was placed under arrest without further incident. Upon further investigation, Officers recovered a loaded firearm (SCCY CPX-1 9mm).
Defendant Bell is charged with Menacing in the 2nd degree, three counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd degree, Criminal Possession in the 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Endangering the Welfare of Child, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, and Trespassing. The defendant will be arraigned on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at First District Court, in Hempstead.
