The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a Copiague man during an overdose investigation that occurred on Saturday, December 25, 2021 in East Meadow.
According to Narcotics/Vice Squad Detectives, an investigation into a fatal overdose of a Nassau County resident led to the arrest of Sean Crombie, 33, of 417 Pleasantview Court.
As Detectives attempted to place the defendant into custody he resisted arrest and attempted to flee the scene in his vehicle at a high rate of speed before crashing into a Nassau County Police Department vehicle. After the collision Detectives were able to place the defendant into custody. Detectives recovered 80 wax envelopes, all of which contained a substance believed to be heroin.
Defendant Crombie has been charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, Reckless Driving, Resisting Arrest and Criminal Mischief in the 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned on Monday, December 27, 2021 at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
