The Sixth Squad reports the Arrest of a Queens man for the Assault on an Officer that occurred on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 9:13 AM in Great Neck.

According to Detectives, defendant Eliyahu Mahgerefteh, 27, of 127 Audley Street, went to a Forest Row residence and refused to leave after multiple request from the property owner. Officers responded to scene but defendant Eliyahu Mahgerefteh fled on foot prior to Police arrival. Defendant Eliyahu Mahgerefteh was located walking on Middle Neck Road where he refused to stop and attempted to flee from Police. As Officers were placing defendant Eliyahu Mahgerefteh under arrest, he physically resisted, causing one Officer to sustain an injury to her left hand. The injured Officer was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Defendant Eliyahu Mahgerefteh is charged with Assault 2^nd degree, Resisting Arrest, Obstructing Governmental Administration, two counts of Stalking 4^th degree, Harassment 1^st degree and Trespassing. He will be arraigned on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at First District Court, located at 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
