Eighth Precinct Problem Oriented Police Officers report multiple Arrests within the confines of the Eighth Precinct on Thursday, October 5, 2023.
Officers assigned to the POP Unit conducted a Project 21 investigation targeting the sale of nicotine and alcohol products sold to underage agents. The agents entered the following establishments where the store employees did not ask for the proper identification and sold alcohol/nicotine to the Police agents.
Puff Kulture located at 4041 Hempstead Turnpike, Bethpage – Mukeshkumar Patel, 51, of 115 Schley Avenue, Albertson, sold alcohol beverages. He was issued two (2) Appearance Tickets returnable to First District Court, Hempstead, on November 1, 2023.
Evergreen located at 199 E. Merritts Road, S. Farmingdale – Syed Alam, 49, of 7 Pheasant Valley Drive, Coram, sold alcohol beverages. He was issued two (2) Appearance Tickets returnable to First District Court, Hempstead, on November 1, 2023.
OK Petroleum located at 767 Wantagh Avenue, Wantagh – Alaatdin Akkaya, 60, of 7 Marissa Court, Holbrook, sold alcohol beverages and a vape device. He was issued four (4) Appearance Tickets returnable to First District Court, Hempstead, on November 1, 2023. A second investigation was conducted at this location approximately thirty minutes later and the defendant again sold vape products. He was issued two (2) Appearance tickets returnable to First District Court in Hempstead on November 1, 2023.
1 Stop Smoke Shop located at 3275 Hempstead Turnpike, Levittown – Alsufyani Hassan, 19, of 1717 Fowler Avenue, Bronx, sold a nicotine product.  He was issued an Appearance Tickets returnable to First District Court, Hempstead, on November 1, 2023.
